Action on the Lot

It was exciting to see framing underway on our new home! We weren't sure whether observance of Martin Luther King, Jr Day would stall the work once again. There was a little something in the air in the morning -- mostly frozen droplets of fog -- but otherwise, the weather was cooperative.

Steve drove by as he was out and about and saw framing of the bearing wall in the basement.

Later in the day, we drove out together to see what had been accomplished during the day. It was as if there was a cap placed on the house. Floor and ceiling joists were in place and sheets of chip board lay atop.
We now have a floor surface for the main level! It covered the house with the exception of the stairless stairwell.

Steve was able to climb down to see the basement framing by entering through a window. Snow was still packed in the window well and, with a jump, he was
on the concrete floor.
