The Log Jam Burst

After weeks of slow downs, or at least little sign of activity on the buildings, this afternoon the houses were teeming with subcontractors!

The roofers I saw this morning made good headway on the shingling (pronounced with a "gull" in the middle!). Steve took pictures on his way home from work and it looks like they are about half way finished -- although sealing and flashing may be another day away.

But there's more!
The doors that were stacked in the garage are now installed -- except not with door knobs,

and, in one case, not yet with window glass.

But one of the doors installed had newly arrived. It was our front door with its glass window!

And, yes, there is evidence of preparation for masonry.

The heat recovery unit has been installed but Todd has not yet connected two of the ducts.
We hope to test the drawing power of the unit before dry wall covers the joints between the main level floor and the basement ceiling.
