Concrete Evidence

Yesterday concrete workers arrived early to lay out frames for the driveway. The first of the concrete mixer truck arrived at about 10 AM.

In several pours over two days, we now have a driveway, including the "bridge" over the gutter; sidewalk; front porch; back patio; rental unit patio; steps for both our front porch and the rental unit front porch, back steps to both patios; and walkway to the east door of the garage. 

The wet cement made it difficult to enter either of the houses. The painter was still working away. He entered the house by way of a ladder down through a basement window!

The rain gutter downspout feeds a pipe under the sidewalk directing rain water away from the house.
