Inside, in addition to Jeff and Bryan, I found three cabinet installers, two painters, an HVAC specialist with his assistant, and an electrician.
[I wonder why the plumber decided today wasn't a good day to install the water softener and water heater. Maybe he is waiting to hook up the dishwasher. RC Willey delayed the delivery of our kitchen appliances until tomorrow.]
Todd is the blur on the left; his two helpers on the right. Mark, preparing to spray walls in the basement, is in the foreground and Kevin, installing recessed lighting is on the ladder.
The other Todd, placed the furnaces some time ago and was back to install the air vents, the air conditioning compressors, and see to the firing up of the furnace (against the cold temperatures we are seeing today).
Mark and his painters finished the walls upstairs but still have some shelving in closets to finish. He put off painting these glossy surfaces while other contractors kicked up saw dust and instead, focused his efforts to prep the basement walls.

Kevin installed the electrical switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures upstairs and outside. He'll be back on Friday, assuming the painting is completed, to place the basement fixtures.I was excited to see Todd and his musclemen haul in the cabinet boxes. Some of the boxes were too big to bring through the laundry room door from the garage. The other option was the wider french doors but that meant trudging through a lot of mud around the side of the house.
They must have braved the mud.
By the afternoon, all cabinet boxes, electrical fixtures, vents, and masking of trim were up and all was quiet in the house.
