Finally, The Recession is GOOD News!

When have you ever thought that the recession was resulting in good news? Yesterday was one of those rare times.
UTA announced a Great Train Race but this time it won't end at Promontory Point with the Golden Spike. Three train projects that are underway, and were originally scheduled to be finished by as late as 2015, will be put on a fast track and may all three finished next year.
If you look forward to taking Trax trains to the Salt Lake Airport or are considering using the FrontRunner Commuter line from Provo, this is welcome news.
The ability to speed up completion is a result of low construction bids, construction workers hungry for work, and lower-than-anticipated interest rates on bonds.
It's nice to find a silver-lining to the gray cloud that is this sluggish economy.

I just learned yesterday that the recession also has lead large enough decreases in Carbon emissions that pretty much every country is below the international standards that we need to keep off global climate change and other emissions related disasters. Interesting, huh?
